
San Francisco sedation dentist Frank Grimaldi received his bachelor’s degree in Biology from San Jose State University in 1976,
graduating Tau Delta Phi scholastic honor society and dean’s list commendations from the School of Science. He received his D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco, graduating with a class rank of 1st in class and receiving a regent’s scholarship
Omicron Kappa Epsilon dental honor society award as well as the Alpha Omega award for scholastic excellence. He completed residency training
in hospital dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco in 1982 with a specific focus on painless dentistry for medically compromised
developmentally disabled or phobic patients. Dr. Grimaldi joined the University of California, San Francisco faculty in 1983 as the Director
of the General Practice Residency in hospital dentistry serving in that capacity currently. Since 1987, he has served as the director of hospital dentistry, offering painless dental treatment in an operating room setting. Dr. Grimaldi is currently a Clinical Professor in the
Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, School of Dentistry at the University of California, San Francisco.
Dr. Grimaldi is a member of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon National Honorary Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American
Association of Hospital Dentists, the California Society of Medicine and Surgery and the Academy of Dentistry for Persons with Disabilities.
Dr. Grimaldi is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, holds state of California conscious sedation permit #2 and is qualified medical
evaluator #9577 for the state of California. He has been recently inducted into the American College of Dentists.
